EGBA MUSLIM LEADERSHIP EXTOLS OBA GBADEBO FOR PEACEFUL AND UNIFYING LEADERSHIP

The entire Egbaland Muslim Community has commended the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, for being an exemplary Monarch who puts first, the peace and unity of the people.


EMC made the commendation during a courtesy visit to the Ake Palace, on Thursday, 13 May, 2021, in commemoration of the just concluded 30 days fasting and Ramadan celebrations.

In his address, the Egba Apex Imam, Sheikh Sa’adallah Bamigbola, who led the delegation, noted that Oba Adedotun Gbadebo’s regime had been most enduring and peaceful to all people, despite all the issues of insecurity going on in the Country.

He added that the Alake is a good example of a true leader and prayed that he would live long to carry out more developments in Egbaland and beyond.

In his sermon, the Mufasir of Egbaland, Sheikh Taofeek Amolegbe described Oba Gbadebo as a most unique and humble Monarch.

Mufasir Amolegbe added that Egbaland was blessed to have Oba Gbadebo as its monarch and prayed that he would live longer than his ancestors.

Responding, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, appreciated the EMC for their continued support and prayers.

Oba Gbadebo also thanked the Muslim leaders for the honour bestowed on him.

He added that they had made Egba proud by always identifying with peaceful coexistence and communal living in the Society.

Alake also prayed that they would never fall, rather, they’ll continue to rise and be more useful vessels of Allah.

Other Muslim leaders and clerics present included the Chief Imams of Owu, Gbagura, and Oke-Ona, the OloriRatibi of Egbaland, Wakeelul Muslimeen Lawal, and others.

Egba High Chiefs present included the Seriki of Egbaland, Chief Tosin Fadare, Aare Baaroyin Chief Layi Labode, Aare Akinrogun, and others.
