The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo has appreciated the management of Grand Oak Limited, makers of Seaman’s Schnapps for their continued support of the Isese and Odun Iyan Festivals in Egbaland.
The Chairman of the Alake Regency Committee and Oluwo Ake Chief Samuel Tanimowo made the remarks this on Friday, August 20th, 2021, while receiving the Delegation of the GrandOak Nigeria Limited, Makers of the Seaman’s Schnapps to the Egba New Yam Festival at Ake Palace, Abeokuta.
Chief Tanimowo said that the Egba people appreciated the synergy between the GrandOak and their star product, the Seaman’s Schnapps before and especially during the Lisabi Festival as well as during the Isese and Odun Iyan Celebrations in Egbaland
He stated that the Alake and Egba Nation would ever be appreciating the GrandOak for being the best sponsors of Isese and Odun Iyan festivals and the major backbone of the Festivals.
Speaking further, the Chairman of Regency Committee stated that Grand Oak Limited’s proverbial and annual support for the Egba Traditional and Cultural Festival; Isese and Odun Iyan Festival would never be forgotten in the history of the festival.
He said their Drink’s motto which says “Original No.1 Prayer Drink”, accorded with the interest and contribution they are rendering to all Egba Sons and Daughters.
However he stated that their urge for the betterment of Egbaland is encouraging and they should keep up the expeditious success and growth of the Company.
He also commended all their efforts and dedications in making the Festival unveil every year.
He prayed that favourable and prosperous encounter would be theirs, he also prayed that the existing amplitude of the Company would never die.
Speaking ealier the head of the Grand Oak delegate to the festival, Mr Benson, said that the GrandOak and its principal Brand, Seaman’s Schnapps had evolved a mutually benefited partnership, adding the his Company respects the Alake and Egba people for accepting and using Seaman’s Schnapps as the best and Number One Prayer Drink for all their Traditional festivals and even private occasions.
Mr Benson thanked the Alake and Egba people for their sympathy for the fire incident that destroyed one of their manufacturing factories some six months ago, which he said slowed down the company’s operations, resulting in a little deduction in material participation in this year’s Festival.
Grand Oak Ogun State Coordinator, Mr Modupe Idris, also appreciated His Majesty, Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Chiefs and other Traditonal groups for also adhering to their allegiance in commemorating the Isese and Odun Iyan.
Mr Idris promised to be closer to Egbaland as the new the Ogun State Grand Oak Coordinator, adding that he would always attend to them whenever they seek his cooperation without hesitation.
Egba High Chiefs present at the event included the Balogun Sikirullah Atobatele, Baagbimo Akanni Akinwale, Aare Baaroyin Layi Labode, as well as Egba Princess Adebisi Gbadebo and Prince Adeoye Gbadebo.
The Alake Regency Committee members present at the Odun Iyan Festival 2021 included Chief Samuel Tanimowo – Oluwo Ake, Committee Chairman, Chief Ayinla Ogunwale – Baase Ijeun, Chief Ifatokunbo Olowoogemo – Baale Kemta, Chief Akanni Okedairo – Apena Iporo – Chief Akanni Ogunboyejo – Oluwo Itoko, Chief Solomon Atanda Odesola- Oluwo Igbein and Bantun of Egbaland, and Odofin Itoku – Chief Kehinde Sofenwa, Committee Secretary.
