Egbas At Home And In Diasporas Pay Solidarity Visits, Make Support Calls On The Alake of Egbaland


The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, has perhaps, been undergoing spontaneous and informal popularity tests in the past few days.
The spontaneity of the popularity tests, has been occasioned by what the Osi Egba, High Chief Bode Mustapha described as, “unwarranted, ill-advised and a desecration of the Yoruba and indeed, Egba’s respect the truth, the royalty and elders, as well as mutual peace, harmony and justice, for all in the Nigerian Nation, by some agitators for secession and excising what they called Yoruba Odudua State from Nigeria.
As a result of the indecent verbal attacks and threats on the Egba Apex Monarch by those some Chiefs revered to as, “Social Media hoodlums,” many Egba Groups and Individuals have been calling on Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, to register their endorsements of his royal campaigns for peaceful resolutions of Nigeria’s issues while at the the same time, renewing their untainted loyalty to the Paramount Ruler.
The Egba women Chiefs and leaders, led by Iyalode Alaba Lawson, represented by the Otun Iyalode, were at the Ake Palace from 7 o’clock on Thursday morning, (25-03-21) to pay Solidarity and renewal of total loyalty.

Lawson, the Otun Iyalode told the Alake to continue to stand by his clarion call for justice and peace, not only in Egbaland, but also in Nigeria,
The Otun Iyalode told the Alake and Egba High Chiefs that the enter Egba womanhood was solidly behind the Alake and reassured him that it was only those looking for the wrath of the Almighty God and the people that would talk ill of Oba Adedotun Gbadebo.
Speaking also at the occasion, the Iyaloja Egba , Chief Kemi Oloyede said that Egba womanhood would never allow Social Media Miscreants to insult our revered Monarch, in whatever circumstances, adding that, it was only ill brought up people that would insult Alake.
Hundreds of Egba women that pay Solidarity visit to the Alake included the Ajigbada Sowemimo, GbegbaAje Teju Adenekan-Bakre, Iyalate Kudirat Awopeju, Iyaloja Panseke- Gbadebo, Babaloja Panseke, – Amodemaja, Iyaloja Itoku- Ayorinde and Seriki Iyaloja Modupeola Labode.

Meanwhile, Egba Traditional Rulers have sworn to defend the good name and the proverbial integrity of the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo.
The assertion was made at the Ake Paul today by the Olu Itori, Oba Abdul Fatai Akorede Akamo, who led a group of Egba Obas and Baales to pay Solidarity Homage to the Alake.
Oba Akorede Akamo told the Alake and Egba High Chiefs in attendance that Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, should not be bothered by the misguided utterances of social media hoodlums, who had no other business that fake news, anti social behaviour and irresponsible cultural attitude to their community leaders.
Oba Abdul Fatai Akamo, warned those peddling fake news and irresponsible and disrespectful statements about Alake to immediately desist or be ready face self inflected cultural destruction.
Responding to the Solidarity visits and calls, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, profoundly thanked the Egba women and market women, the Obas and Baales, Individual visitors and callers as well as Egba High Chiefs, for their support and encouragement to continue to pursue the path of honour, truth and integrity.
Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, said that it was not those who rightly or wrongly cause a war that suffered calamities, the innocent, especially women, children and the aged were always victims of avoidable was.
He added that, in spite of many issues in the country, Nigeria would be better off to jaw jaw than to war war, by sitting down to talk sincerely with fear of God.
Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, seized utilised the occasion to call on leaders, the youth, and the religious bodies to remember that they had been called by God to lead their Nigerian Nation, aright in peace and justice.
The Alake expressed appreciation to those who had inundated him with Goodwill and solidarity messages.
The Egba Obas, in the company of the old Itori, included, Olu Owode,/Oba Kolawole Sowemimo; Olu Onigbedu, Mathew Ajibulu; Onijale Papa, Oba Michael Aderounmu, Onijaye Titan, Oba Nofiu Otunba, Olu Siun, Oba Lawrence Odeyinka and Olu Arigbajo.
There were many other individual visitors from cultural, and traditional, the government and business sectors that also paid the Egba Apex Monarch, Solidarity Calls.
Many Egba High Chiefs were in attendance to join the Alake in receiving the visitors.
They included the Balogun Sikirullah Atobatele, Osi Olabode Mustapha, Baagbimo Akaani Akinwale, Bantun Kehinde Sofenwa, Apagun Pote Awopeju, Aare Onibode, Akingboye Sakiru Akingbade, Onimo-Ero Tokunbo Odebunmi, and Aare Baaroyin Layi Labode
