Federal Medical Centre Consultants Pledge Cooperation And support For Peace And Progress At The Institution.


Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria, Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta Branch, has pledged to use their cognate and professional experiences to uplift the fortunes of the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta.

The pledge of commitment to the growth of development of the Medical Institution was made by the Chairman of the Association, Dr Jimoh Olarewaju Saheed, while addressing the Alake of Egbaland on the role of the group at the Ake Palace on Monday, 27th of June, 2022.

The Chairman noted that, the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of the award winning Medical Center in Nigeria, wanted to impute peace, unity and progress as well as maintain understanding, tolerance and harmony among various professional groups and the management of the Medical institution.

Addressing the Alake on reasons for paying usual courtesy visit to the Egba Paramount Ruler, Dr Olanrewaju told the Alake that, his Association had made it a necessity for them to pay a courtesy call on the Monarch, as well as assured him of their unflinching support and partnership with the FMC Chief Executive Officer in his projection to take the FMC to the next level

The Chairman disclosed to the Alake that, his Association was delighted and excited to come around and inform Alake about the development and very growth of FMC, Abeokuta, adding that they were also proud partners of the feat.

He explained that, there had been technological and excellent administrative changes since the advent of the new administration of the FMC under the leadership of Professor Musa Olomu, which were even acknowledged nationwide and internationally.

He reiterated that, although there could be professional disagreements between residents doctors and consultants, but they had collectively and unanimously agreed to making, the FMC, Abeokuta, excelled and being among the best Federal Medical Institutions in and outside Nigeria

He confirmed that, the decision and commitment of Medical Practitioners in FMC, Abeokuta, to improving the Centre, had created a place for the Medical Institution to being one of the best in the country.

He stated that, when the new committee emerged on the 31st of March, 2022, first agenda on their list, was to ensure peace, unity and progress were continuously stimulated in the Medical Institution.

The Chairman added that, since their emergence, they had ensured to put more peaceful environments in place for all health workers in FMC, Abeokuta.

Dr Olarewaju therefore appreciated the Egba Apex Monarch for his fatherly and royal role, in making sure FMC, Abeokuta, remains one of the best nationwide and internationally.

In his contribution, the Vice Chairman of the Association, Dr Adeboye Adebisi, told the Alake that the FMC was an Award Winning Medical Institution, which had proved to be among the best in and outside Nigeria.

Dr Adebisi urged the Alake, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo to use his good offices to fast track the final approval of the University of Medical Sciences, Abeokuta as a Medical Training Arm of the Centre.

In his response the Egba Apex Monarch, appreciated the Association for their cooperation, synergy and commitment to peace and rapid progress of foremost Federal Medical Centre in Nigeria.

Oba Gbadebo noted that professionalism, dedication, hardwork as well as mutual respect and understanding should be the guiding principle of every worker at the FMC Abeokuta,l because this was the only way everybody would ultimately benefit from the success of the institution.

On the final take of the the University of Medical Sciences, Abeokuta, the Paramount Ruler of Egbaland disclosed that, he and other well wishers of the project were not resting on their oars, adding that, President Muhammadu Buhari would soon accede to the commencement of the Medical Teaching Institution.
