The Federal Government has been lauded for efforts at giving food and other palliative items to pupils across the country, as the Take Home Rations (TRHs) for primary school pupils get to Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The Chairman, Parents-Teachers’ Association (PTA), United Primary School, Ayetoro, Mrs. Grace Adedigba gave the commendation during the distribution of palliative at Ayetoro, Yewa North Local Government (YLNG), saying the gesture would ameliorate pupils’ suffering during the lockdown.
She appreciated government for purchasing locally grown food items, which she noted, had increased the economy of small holder farmers in the area, appealing to the distribution team, to ensure that the food items get to the targeted beneficiaries.
The PTA Chairman noted that the palliative package would improve balance meal for the pupils, urging them to adhere to all precautionary measures and directives laid down by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), as she prayed for quick eradication of the pandemic.
Other beneficiary parents, Bosede Wasiu, Sadiat Mohammed, Risikat Ayankunle and Kafayat Yinusa, said they were delighted with the gesture, as the relief package would reduce the hardships being encountered during the lockdown period.
