The coast is now clear for Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala to be the first African Director General of the 25-year-old World Trade Organization.
This is because, the new American President, Joe Biden had given the country support to Okonjo Iweala for the Leadership it the Organization.
It would be recalled that, the immediate past American President, Donald Trump, denied Okonjo Iweala American only support.
In her reaction, Okonjo Iweala, the Former Nigeria’s Finance Minister, thanked the American President, Joe Biden, Nigeria’s President, Muhammodu Buhari, as well as all Nigerians for their support, promising that, she would do her best to take the World Trade Organization to the next level.
