ILORIN – A Kwara-based firm, KAM industries Nigeria Limited, has donated a Police Post to Ifelodun local government area of Kwara State.

The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Fafowora Bolaji, during the commissioning of the post at Jimba-Oja area of the local government, called on well-to-do individuals in the society to partner with security agencies, especially the police in combating crimes and ensuring peaceful co-existence.

The CP, who expressed happiness over the new police post said, “Certainly, if many of the well-to-do citizens were extending gestures of this nature to the police, half of our challenges would have been a thing of the past.”

He declared that the new police post would be put into good use and become a pride of Kamwire, its host community, the Nigeria Police Force and the larger society.

“More importantly, the command will ensure that lives and properties of the company in particular and Jimba-Oba community in general, shall be well protected with the available human resources and materials at our disposal,” he said.

Earlier, the chairman of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Kwara/Kogi Chapter, Dr Kamorudeen Yusuf, had disclosed that the need for a police post in the community was borne out of the desire to ensure that peaceful co -existence continues to reign in the society.
