A former President of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Chief Sakirudeen Tunji Labode, Fcna, has been lauded for his invaluable contributions to the future of Accounting Practice and Education, in the Country.
The commendation was made by Chief Adebayo Adeyemi, alias Alakoso, who was speaking at the ANAN Interactive Session, to mark the 75th Birthday Anniversary of the Chairman, Tunji Labode & Co.
Alakoso Adeyemi recalled that when the celebrant was the ANAN National President, he used his influence with the then Ogun State Governor to build Ogun State ANAN Secretariat.
Alakoso Adeyemi, who was also the very first Ogun State Chairman, noted that, among Alhaji Tunji enduring legacies of the Accounting Practice, was his ensuring that ANAN Trained Accounts were accorded same respect and remunerations as their professional counterparts in similar areas in the Federal Civil Service as well as Ogun State.
Chief Adeyemi also described the Celebrant as a colleague of high repute and a trusted associate, who had always shown cheerful and accommodating personality, since he had known him.
He further stated that Accounting Practice had evolved and moved to the next level, adding that the future of the profession was laced with Science, ICT, including Artificial Intelligence and other innovations.
He further congratulated Chief Tunji Labode, who is also the BabaAdeen of Ijaye, for all these enduring legacies and prayed that God grants him longer life and prosperity.
Meanwhile, the Managing Director of the Tunji Labode & Co, Alhaji Taiwo Raji, also extolled the celebrant, describing him as an icon who loves accountability and transparency.

The Birthday lecture that held at Tunji Labode ANAN House on Monday, was sponsored by the Staff and Management of the Company.
Both the Staff of Tunji Labode & Co and Mueenat International Academy hosted the Birthday Celebration for their Proprietor and Chairman, Alhaji Tunji Labode, on Tuesday, 26th of October, 2021, at the school premises, Obada, Abeokuta.
The event was characterised by various Cultural performances from the students to celebrate the founding father @ 75.
Awards and cash Prizes were also presented to most decent students, as well as most brilliant and well behaved ones.
In his goodwill message at the occasion, the Chief Imam of Ijaye, Chief Olomu congratulated the celebrant for yet another successful year in his life.
The Ijaye Chief Imam describes Chief Labode as a man who is close to God and to the Clerics.
He added that he had always contributed to the welfare of the people in his immediate communities.
He further disclosed when the Ijaye Central Mosque was to begin construction, he donated a sum of 10 million naira to support the project.
He extolled the celebrant for being a lover of God and prayed that Almighty Allah would grant his heart desires.
Speaking in the same vein, the Osi of Ijaye said the celebrant was always accommodating, humble, and development oriented since he had known him.
He added that Chief Tunji Labode was a lover of Islam and he works for God.
He further felicitated him and his wife for a being strong pillars in the Community
