The Agura of Gbagura, Oba Halidu Laloko, Sobekun II, has called for an extension of tenure for President Muhammad Buhari to personally implement the new Democracy Day which the President had proclaimed through an Executive Order last week Tuesday.
Speaking to the Press at the Agura Palace yesterday,through the Balogun of Gbagura, Chief Adio Bayewnmi, the Agura said President Buhari had done an invaluable honour to the Gbaguras, the Egba and all lovers of Justice, fair play and integrity.
He disclosed that what President Buhari had done was what the Gbagura people had been waiting for since the unjustifiable annulment of the freest and most democratic Presidential Election ever held in Nigeria took place 25 years ago.
The Agura also thanked all those who had been consistently fighting for Justice for MKO Abiola for their insistence for an enduring justice as a legacy for generations to come.
