ABUJA – Femi Gbajabiamila, the House of Representatives speaker, has approved the appointments of 27 more aides with many former lawmakers as special assistants.
The appointments, which were contained in a statement issued by the speaker’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi, also saw his long standing aide, Olanrewaju Smart Wasiu, returned as political adviser to the speaker.
According to the statement, the appointments take immediate effect as many of the former members on the list are also seen around the speaker’s office on Tuesday.
The new appointees are Odofin David Seun, Special Adviser Administration; Olanrewaju Smart, Special Adviser Political Matters; Badmus Olufunmi, Special Adviser Special Duties, and Osazee Melody Ogundijie as Special Assistant, Legal Matters.
Others include Hon. Raphael Nnana Igbokwe as Special Assistant Legislative Matters; Fatima Kakuri as Special Assistant Gender Equality, while Hamza Baba Ibrahim is Special Assistant on IDPs.
Also appointed are Abdulsalam Idowu Kamaldeen as Special Assistant on Special Needs /Equal Opportunities; Hadiza Abubakar Talba as Special Assistant on Employment and Job Creation, as well as Lukman Oyewole Lawal, who’s Special Assistant on Budget and Finance.
Hon Bassey Ewa returned to the House as Special Assistant on Former Members Affairs; Princewill Tabia as Special Assistant on Policy and Inter-Parliamentary, while Hon Ibrahim Mohammed Baba also came back as Special Assistant on Executive Relations.
Akin Ogunlola from 7th assembly also made the list from as Special Assistant on Anti-Corruption; Hon. Daniel Reyenieju also came as Special Assistant on Niger Delta / Oil & Gas, while Dubem Mogalu is Special Assistant on Research and Public Policy.
