The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland has called on Justice Demola Bakre, to continue being himself at all times.
Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, who was speaking at the reception for Justice’s 90th Birthday Anniversary, enjoined the celebrant not to be wary, adding that since he had been known to be steadfast since childhood, he could not afford to renege on his emulative stance.
The Alake prayed for the celebrant to live a healthy and more fulfilling life.
Earlier in his sermons, the Chief Imam of the Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria, Sheikh Younis Ajao Odekunle, told the celebrant that he should be grateful to Allah for many mercies He had bestowed on him and his family.
Sheik Odekunle noted that Justice Demola Bakre had gone through varying experiences, some of which were not pleasant, adding that Allah made him victorious.
The Ansar-ur-deen cleric admonished the nonagenarian to maintain his piety and patriarchal role at this blessed age of 90.
A former Military Governor of Ogun State, Gen Raji Rasaki described Justice Demola Bakre as a straightforward man, who he enjoyed working with for his principle and integrity.
The immediate past Ogun State Governor, and Senator representing Ogun Central, at the National Assembly, Senator Ibikunle Amosun said the celebrant had been close to him for many years and had always played a very good advisory role in his life.
Sen Amosun further prayed that he would live longer and his children would become more proud of him.
Many senior members of the Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria were at the special prayer for Justice Demola Bakre who is a second-generation member of the foremost Islamic Missionary.
They included Alhaji Akanbi Tekobo and Alhaji Jeleel Okewole.
In his appreciation speech, Justice Demola Bakre appreciated his wife, children and his immediate family for their mutual understanding and tolerance over the years.
He said that he immensely appreciated the Royalties, Alake, the Agura, and Egba High Chiefs as well as Clubs that attended his 90th Birthday Anniversary.
Royal fathers present at the occasion included the Agura of Gbagura, Oba Saburee Babajide Bakre, whose Gbagura High Chief entourage included, Balogun Ojoo Adio Bayeiwun; Balogun Ayobami Biobaku of Ilupeju Oke-Odo; Biodun Afolabi, Biodun Owolabi, Saburi Aroyewun, Moroof Akindele, Balogun Ijaye Kukudi/Administrative Secretary to the Gbagura Traditional Council, Chief Rasaq Obe and Gbegbaaje Egba, Tejumade Adenekan-Bakre.
A former Military Governor of Ogun State, General Raji Rasaki, also graced the occasion.
Abeokuta Club was led to the occasion by its President and the Onimo-Ero Tokunbo Odebunmi.
