A Governorship Aspirant in Ogun State, Mr Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, also known as GNI, had pointed out that he was the best candidate among other aspirants that had so far showed interest in the race.
Mr Gboyega Nasir Isiaka made the point while speaking in an interview with the newsflagship correspondent in Abeokuta.
Mr Isiaka argued that he had a very close relationship with the people in all the three Senatorial Districts of Ogun State more than any another candidate adding that he had being to all the 236 wards of the State on many occasions.
He further explained that as a public servant and political appointee in the past administration, he had maintained a good track record of transparency and accountability and had no scandal issue that would deter him from winning the governorship seat in the forthcoming 2019.
Asked why he thought he could make it to the Ogun State Governorship seat this third time around, he said that he had been consistent in his ideas as well as having a high level of passion and empathy, including a strong recall from the electorates.
He added that his failure on the two previous occasions had in actual fact, taught him how to strategically and tactically prepare to achieve unimpeded victory in the 2019.
On what novelty, he wants to bring into governance after the current dispensation; GNI said that Senator Ibikunle Amosun had actually done well in building infrastructures all round the state, especially in the state capital, Abeokuta, He said his tenure would open up more areas, infrastructure-wise in the East and West Senatorial Districts.
Also, he would also concentrate more on human capital development without which any physical growth and development would be meaningless.
In his advice to other Governorship Aspirants, Mr Isiaka said that politics and governance was about service adding that they should put the interest of the people at heart.
Mr Isiaka while commending Yewa Elders for visiting and seeking the support of the people of Ogun Central and East Senatorial District for the consensus emergence for a Yewa Governorship candidate, was not however happy that the Elders were only looking at only one out of the three sides of the political coin in Yewa land adding that they must being seen to be fair to all Yewa Governorship Aspirants.
On the Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s Coalition Movement of Nigeria, GNI said that he fully agreed with the concept and contents of the Movement because they were in line with our agenda for good and people oriented government adding that, his personal attendance, showed that he was for anything that would move Ogun State and Nigeria forward.
When asked on what political platform he would contest the next election, Mr Gboyega Isiaka disclosed that it was not impossible he would contest on another political platform apart from the one he used in past occasions.
