The Asiwaju Mayegun of Egbaland, Chief Shina Luwoye has advised the government to go back to the drawing board and redefine the security architecture for the nation.
The new President, Egba Economic Summit, Chief Shina Luwoye stated this, in an interview with the Newsflagship Correspondent, on the sidelines of the 8th Annual General Meeting of the Summit, at Ibara on Friday, December 24th, 2021.
He noted that the issue of insecurity in the country would be solved, when those in authority avoided complacency and dubiousness in their leadership of the people..
He argued that, to solve the security crisis ravaging the country, government needed to sit down, think ahead and set down critical plan route.
Chief Luwoye also admonished the people to support the government by taking up the ownership of their security, as they were better placed to see first and report any insecurity moves that could bring discomfort to the populace
Speaking further, the Asiwaju Mayegun called on the people to start to think of alternative to the government, adding that, they must stop the culture of depending on government to do everything.
Chief Luwoye reiterated that the real vision or mission were in the hands of the people, because, security started at the community level.
He pointed out that various institutions in the country could make Nigeria great, adding that Nigeria could be great when the people were ready.
The President, Egba Economic Summit added that, Nigeria could progress economically, when there would be a change in the attitude of government and private firms’ workers.
This according to the Egba Economic Summit, would change the people’s mindset in consumption and reduction in wastefulness.
