Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has distributed relief materials to some residents of Abeokuta South Local Government Area, to cushion the effects of the ongoing lockdown, with assurance that government was intensifying efforts to containing the pandemic.

Governor Abiodun, who was received by large crowd atĀ  Ago-Oko, Isale-Ake, Adatan and other parts of Abeokuta metropolis, distributed food packs containing; 5kg of rice, 5kg of beans, 5kg of garri, tomato paste, maggi and vegetable oil to the aged.

While distributing the palliative items, he said government decided to visit the community to appreciate the people for obeying the sit at home order and also to advice on the need to maintain social distance and keeping their environment clean to contain the Coronavirus.

The Governor guaranteed provision of more palliative measures to the residents, as the federal government has expressed readiness to assist the state in alleviating the suffering of the people.

Some of the beneficiaries thanked Governor Abiodun for his generosity and efforts towards ensuring that people do not contract theĀ disease, with a promise of continued support to the government in realising its objectives.
