Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has directed the State Commissioner of Police, Commander, 35 Artillery Brigade and the Director, State Security Service, to relocate their operations to Sagamu and fish out those involved in the recent cult activities in the town.
Following the malicious act by the cultists on Monday which started in Abeokuta and continued to Sagamu, Governor Abiodun has directed the security agencies to intensify their efforts to apprehend those behind the activities in Abeokuta, the state capital and Sagamu.
In a statement on Tuesday, in Abeokuta by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, Governor Dapo specifically charged the security agencies not to leave any stone unturned in their efforts to bring the culprits to book, while assuring them of government support in this regard.
Governor Abiodun however condemned the dishonorable sneak act of the hoodlums whereby some people were dead and some were injured.
Governor Abiodun also called on all residents living in Abeokuta and Sagamu to cooperate with the security agencies inorder to fish out the cultists and other criminal elements involved in the malicious act in their environment.
Speaking further, Governor Abiodun implored the youths to resist the temptation of being involved in cultism and other criminal activities that could jeopardize their future, bring shame to their future and might cost them their precious life.
Addressing the parents and guardians, he urged them to ensure that, their children stay away from any criminal activities.
Prince Abiodun also reiterated that, the current led-administration in Ogun State had invested alot in programmes and activities designed to equip the youths with necessary skills and education that would make their future better as part of Building our Future Together’s agenda.
