Ogun State Head of Service, Engr.Olanrewaju Bisiriyu has reaffirmed government’s commitment to the payment of all outstanding deductions of workers before the expiration of the present administration.
Bisiriyu who stated this while addressing Board Members of the Ogun State Salary Earners’ Cooperative Thrift and Credit Union in his office at Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, reassured of Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s determination to ensure payment of outstanding deductions before leaving office.
‘’I can assure you of the Governor’s determination, even at the recent commissioning of the Association of Senior Civil Servants’ Housing Scheme and the just concluded payments of severance to past political office holders, His Excellency confirmed that by the time he will be leaving office in May, all outstanding workers’ deductions would have been cleared”, he said.
He stated that issues bothering on worker’s welfare had always been of high priority to the current administration, despite the numerous tasks and challenges, urging all to continue to support and trust in the administration till the end.
Speaking earlier, the President of the Union, Barrister Adewole Adekunle commended the State Government for being workers friendly, urging it not renege on its promises, irrespective of the challenges.
