A London based Housing Estate Professionals and Ogun State Gubernatorial Aspirant, Hon. Olufemi Falana, is to flag off his Campaign from Joga, some 20 kilometers away from Ogun State capital, Abeokuta.
The Headquarters of his political party is also to be located in the same town.
The Aspirant, Hon. Olufemi Falana disclosed this at the Iwe-irohin House Abeokuta, on Saturday while formally announcing his candidature for the Governorship of Ogun State coming 2019.
The Aspirant said that his political party, the Welfare Party of Nigeria, WPN, would be people welfare orientated, arguing that majority of Nigerians lived in rural area and their aspirations must be identified, analyzed and assisted to make their lives more meaningful.
Honorable Falana explained that, the current housing system and Ogun State in Nigeria was not affordable by the poor as well as average, low and medium income earners, arguing that his own party’s plan was to provide a low cost and quality housing for this category of Nigerians.
He then said that his party’s plan was to create a free and compulsory primary school education to support and inspire young people in the State to build and secure their own future.
He added that Subsidized Health Care System would be designed to compliment what was already existing the healthcare system, as well as improving their standard, adding that existing support structures would be strengthened such as the National Health Insurance Scheme and other healthcare platforms.
Also launching Falana Cooperative Foundation earlier at the occasion, the gubernatorial aspirant said that the beneficiaries of the Foundation would be Small Scale Social Entrepreneurs in the rural communities as well as those in need of food and social support.
Hon. Olufemi Falana disclosed that he intended to start a cooperative and food bank while campaigning for the coming 2019 election.
He added that the campaign would address the issue of poverty and deprivation in the ruler areas of Ogun State.
He said that he possessed vast and varied experiences to lead Ogun State to greater heights if he succeeded Senator Ibikunle Amosun as the State Governor, building on what had been achieved by the current administration.
He pointed out that his intention to be the next Ogun State Governor was predicated on the fervent call for me Youth to actively participate in the governance of the country by taking leadership positions adding that his bid should be supported by all the good people of the State especially the youths in Ogun State.
He said that the idea of food bank in rural areas of Ogun State was unknown from information gathered and survey carried out in the State, adding that food bank would mostly be beneficial as most rural people complained of hunger and deprivation.
The launching of the Welfare Party of Nigeria and Falana Cooperative Foundation was attended by officers and officials as well as members of the Welfare Party of Nigeria from all parts of the country including the National Chairman Mr.
