Ogun State pilgrims in Medina have been charged to be vigilant and modest while in the holy land, to avoid a bitter experience.
The admonition, according to Ogun State Information Service reporter in Saudi Arabia, Rasak Sekoni, was given by the Amir-Ul-Hajj, Alh. Abdul-Yekin Arimyau Parakoyi, at an orientation talk for pilgrims, organised by officials of the National Hajj Commission (NAHCOM).
Addressing the pilgrims, the National Hulamas, NAHCOM, Alh. Abdul Hakeem Thompson and Alh. Najimdeen Musa, stressed the need for pilgrims to be vigilant with their wares, avoid undue stress and submit to the instructions given by the officials.
“We are mindful of the fact that pilgrims would love to fulfil all righteousness while on hajj, however we urge them to first concentrate their energy on essential acts of worship before any other thing, “he explained.
Similarly, Head of Medical Team, Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (OGMPWB), Dr. Nasrudeen Bello hinted that drugs are available to give prompt medical attention to pilgrims, urging them to avoid heat and take a lot of water.
