As part of efforts to ensure easy access to quality and affordable health care service delivery across Ogun State, the present administration has begun stakeholders’ meeting to strengthen feedback mechanism for effective implementation of its Health Insurance Policy.
Speaking during the meeting at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker, said it was important for health care service providers in the private sector to partner with government by embracing the scheme, to enhance the sector.
Represented by the Executive Secretary, Ogun State Health Insurance Agency, Dr. Afolabi Dosumu, the Commissioner affirmed that government was putting in place, necessary logistics, so that the scheme could achieve the purpose for which it was established, adding that every information and suggestions offered at the meeting would form part of the policy and guidelines for the programme.

Dr. Coker urged stakeholders to give preference to the scheme, stressing that the roundtable meeting was essentially organised to collate views that would ensure achievement of set goals without compromising easy access to quality and affordable health care services across the State.
