A Primary School Girl, whose both hands were amputated by Medically sick person, 11 years ago had graduated from University of Lagos.
The girl, Miss Ruth Idowu, who also lost both parents in the attack by the mentally challenged person, had now bagged a B.Sc in Industrial Relations from Unilag, Akoka, Lagos, had been posted to Ogun State for her National Youth Service.
The Asiwaju Babalaje of Egbaland, who is also the Chaìrman, Premier Paints Plc and Mercyland Group of Schools, Chief OgoOluwa Bankole, made the education and parenthood of Ruth Idowu possible when the Philanthropist adopted her in 2010, after the girl’s traumatic experience.
Chief OgoOluwa Bankole told the Newsflagship, Online Newspaper, that Ruth Idowu was adopted by him as one of her children, immediately she was introduced to him by Chief Adebowale Sodipo. who was then the President, of the Psychiatric Nurses Association, Aro, Abeokuta.
The Balogun Gbogbo of Igbogun Land, said, he had been impressed by the academic journeys of Ruth Idowu, who had 9 papers with 5 A’s in her WAEC and a degree of second class honours from the University of Lagos.
Chief Bankole called on the Nigeria societies to always come on the assistance of such people in order to rekindle their hopes and make them useful for society.
Speaking further, at the 70th birthday Ceremony of Chief Adebowale Sodipo, Chief Bankole commended the celebrant for his medical professionalism and vision for humanity.
He also promised to send Miss Ruth to California, after he would have completed her service as a youth corper in Ogun State, for further medical assistance.
