I am wiser, vigilant and more prepared now. – Ihedioha


{Owerri The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Imo State, Also the former Deputy Speaker of House of Representative, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, said he has the strong believes that he won the 2015 gubernatorial election in the state but he was not announced as the winner.

Chief Emeka Ihedioha, said what happened to him then would not repeat itself again in 2019.

According to his  media aide, Chibuike Onyeukwu, said Ihedioha spoke while addressing an association of Imo indigenes in the United States of America, under the aegis of Imo Community in Garland, Texas, USA.

 “I was not announced the winner then. I am wiser, vigilant and more prepared now. What happened then cannot happen now. I, charge all Imo citizens to seriously get involved in determining who governs them

Chief Emeka Ihedioha said “Governance is a serious business. I urge you not to be spectator and to get involved in the political processes in the state,”as their future depends on it.

He expressed regrets about the level of decay in all sectors of the state economy, noting that the style of every administration in the state would have either positive or negative impacts on Imo citizens at home and in the Diaspora.

I, promise that would run an open and participatory government, if am vote in as the governor of the state.

“My administration will broaden the base of government to give all the marginalized and deprived sections of our state a true sense of belonging,” He said.

 Professor Eddie Oparaoji, who were at the event said Ihedioha’s visit to the US had broadened his economic vision for the state and nothing has embraced a global vision.

“In this new age, the destiny and prosperity of Imo State will not be defined by geographical lines and confines, but by the character, resourcefulness, resources and location of her citizens across the world – within and outside Nigeria”.
