FMC Abeokuta has embarked on bread making as a means to increase its Internally Generated Revenue, as they would introduce the sales of FMC Gold bread.
The Medical Director, Prof Adewale Musa-Olomu unveiled the FMC Gold Bread while sneaking at a forum held at the Telemedicine Hall of the Center.
Prof. Adewale further disclosed that, apart from bread baking, there were plans on ground to venture into bottle water and intravenous fluid production in his second term.
Speaking further, he highlighted some monumental achievements in his first term of his administration.
These included acquisition of 170 hectares of land for the proposed University of Medicine and Medical Sciences, accreditation of Clinical Departments, introduction of Sub-Specialities and equipment for many departments amongst many others.
Prof Musa-Olomu appreciated the support and the steadfastness of members of the. FMC YOU Management, Unions, the Staff, Traditional institutions, Clergies and as well as the media in his administration so far.
He promised that, his second term in office would bring about more progress and developments to Federal Medical Center, Abeokuta.
The Chairman of the FMCA Consult Ltd, Comrade Sam Idowu and Head of Nutrition and Dietetics Department, Mrs Akinwande also praised the bread baking initiative, adding that, their team were prepared to make FMCA Gold Bread, a purely free bromate to make it the first choice among bread lovers in the State and beyond.
