As raining season gradually sets in, the Chairman of Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Engr. Olugbenga Olugbile has warned residents to desist from dropping refuse into drainages to avert blockage and flooding.
The Chairman gave the warning while inspecting road construction at Degun, Ashafa Eleruku and Abeokuta roads being done by Ogun State Public Works Agency (OGPWA).
Olugbile said the present administration under the leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun has made infrastructural development across the rural and urban areas, a priority, urging residents to contribute their own quota by keeping the drainages clean and dump refuse at designated points.

“We should, as residents help the government by ensuring clean and clear drainages. The roads under construction will soon be completed and it will be of benefits to all of us”, the LG Boss noted.
He also tasked residents on clean environment and ensure healthy living at all times.
