ABEOKUTA – The National leadership of Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has suspended the Abayomi Oluwafemi Arabambi led State executive Committee over alleged financial recklessness, disobedience to national directive as well as in ability to hold meetings.
The national leadership has also replaced the suspended Arabambi led exco with a 7-man Caretaker committee headed by Comrade Bolanle Bello.
In a letter dated 24th May, 2019 and signed by the National Chairman of the council, Chief Peter Ameh said the dissolution of Ogun State executive and the purported suspension takes immediate effect.
Addressing journalists in Abeokuta on Tuesday, the caretaker chairman, Mrs.
Bolanle Bello stressed that, according to the code of conduct of IPAC, nobody should again parade himself as the leader of the association in the state except the caretaker committee, saying whoever does otherwise would have the law to contend with.
Mrs. Bello added that, Comrade Arabambi was specifically suspended for financial recklessness and disobedience to the national directive.
She however maintained that, the caretaker committee will oversee the affairs of the association for four weeks until further directives by the National secretariat.
“Due to the unfortunate crisis that recently rocked the leadership of the association in the state, the national headquarters at Abuja, after careful consideration of the reports of its fact finding committee sent to the State has ordered that Comrade Arabambi led executives be suspended for four weeks.
“Since nature abhors vacuum, the national body of the council has therefore set up a seven man caretaker committee to take over running the affairs of this association for the next four weeks. “
