Members of Isese Kingdom of Truth Association of Nigeria, Ogun State Chapter, have been assured of a friendly environment in the practice of their religion, as a way of promoting culture, tourism and traditions in the State.
The State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo who gave this assurance when he received executives of the association in his office, at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, said the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun was always ready to relate with all and sundry, irrespective of religious beliefs, admonishing them to co-exist peacefully with other religious bodies and shun the act of violence
“Governor Abiodun is a listening governor, who doesn’t take the opinion of the people for granted, but will put it into use for the betterment and economic progress of the State. I assure you that your request will be forwarded to him”, he said.

Arifagbola also called for declaration of public holiday for the annual celebration of Isese Day, to uphold African traditions, as seen in the case of Brazil and Cuba which recognise and value the African cultural heritage, especially the Yoruba culture, more than the custodians of the long standing traditions.
