The beautiful woman gave up on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 in Calabar, Cross River State, following a battle with stroke and weight. Oseni’s demise was announced by Nollywood producer Ejiro Okurame.
The sad news was shared on social media through the Instagram page of the Nollywood actor and producer, Ejiro Okurame. In her post online, Okurame shared a photo of the late Oseni, with a note that said that the veteran fought a good fight. She prayed that God blesses the late entertainer’s soul as she meets her creator.
Fans and colleagues have mourned the veteran; the Nollywood industry has been thrown into mourning due to the news of her demise.
Oseni started her acting career in the early 90s when she starred in the movie, Deadly Passions. Meanwhile, the movie, End Of The Wicked, brought her into the limelight and registered her in the hearts of Nigerians.
End Of The Wicked was a story about how the forces darkness destroys good people and how they are being saved by the power of the Almighty God. In that movie, the late veteran acted as a witch. Before her demise, Oseni starred in many movies, including the popular television drama series, Super Story. Fans, followers, and colleagues of the veteran took to Okurame’s Instagram page to express shock at the sad news and mourned her. Her other movies are My Only Love, Orange Girl and Bumper to Bumper.
She was said to have relocated to Calabar with hope that her daughter would take adequate care of her, unfortunately, the latter was also ill at the same time.
Chairman Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas also confirmed her death on Wednesday in a statement.
“With deep sense of sorrow but with total submission to the will of Almighty God, we announce the passing unto eternal glory of Patience Oseni, veteran Actress and member of the Actors Guild of Nigeria,” his statement read.
Madam Oseni will be eternally remembered for playing the role of a female with a jumbo male organ in Helen Ukpabio’s hit movie, End of the Wicked.
