The Lagos State College of Medicine Maiden Computer Summer Training Programme formally came to a close with 24 students successfully completing the programme on Thursday 2nd September 2021.
Addressing the students and parents at the closing ceremony, the Acting Provost of the College, Prof. Abiodun Adewuya congratulated the students for successfully partaking in the programme.
He urged them to use the acquired knowledge to move into advanced computer classes.
He called on the parents to procure laptops for their wards to widen their horizon in computer education.
He said any profession they might incline to engage in they will require computer knowledge to succeed.
He stated that the acquired knowledge was not a waste, adding that it would come handy in the nearest future.
In his remarks, the Head Information and Computer Technology Unit of the College,
Mr Richard Arogunjo thanked the College Management particularly the Acting Provost for providing the wherewithal and encouragement
According to him, the Ag Provost name would be written in gold for his positive contribution to the College development after his tenure.
“I am delighted and encourage by the number of students that participated in the maiden edition of this Summer Tmaideng”, he said.
He urged the College management to make the training programme a yearly affair which will serve as an empowerment programme for youths.
The Best Student, Mr Oladipupo Abolarinwa expressed delight and thank God for the successful completion of the training programme.
24 students were presented Certificates in “Elementary Basic Skill in Microsoft Office Specialist.
