The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, HRM Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo has identified Lisabi’s commitment in bringing Egbas from all around the globe together for peace, progress, and mutual understanding
Oba Adedotun Gbadebo disclosed this while addressing the Egbas at home and abroad who were on annual Visit to the Lisabi Forest where traditional prayers as well as Islamic and Christian prayers were made to enhance and pronounce more blessings to the land
He added that the successful celebrations of the festival every year showed the unity, friendship and brotherhood among the Egbas
The Alake also reaffirmed that Lisabi is recognised all over the world as a veritable Egba hero and liberator
In his welcome address to the Alake and his entourage on way to the Lisabi Forest, the Olu of Oba-Eerin, HRM Oba Abd’Ganiu Adegun Sanyaolu appealed to the Alake to affect the Ogun State Government to repair Abeokuta – Oba road which had completely broken down for almost 2 decades
Oba Abd’ Ganiu said that the collapse of the road had completely slowed down the growth of the agricultural economic activities of the area because farm products from the area were facing serious difficulties of transportation to the market
The procession which thereafter left for the Lisabi Forest led by the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, comprised Egba traditional rulers, Egba High Chiefs, important personalities and other categories of people, including: Olori of Egbaland; Dr Tokunbo Gbadebo, Olori Gbagura; Bola Bakre, Balogun Sikirullah Atobatele, Seriki Tosin Fadare, Asiwaju Maxwell Ayinla, Aro Yinka Kufiile, Olori Parakoyi; Chief Kasimawo Laloko, Olu Mokolokin, Olu Owode; Oba Kolawole Sowemimo, Olu Isihun; Oba Lawrence Odeyinka, Onijaiye Titun, Oba Nofiu Otunba, Olu Onijale Papa, Boroji; Lateef Lemboye, High Chief Amodemaja, Baamowe; Prof. Ajao Adelekan, Aare Akinrogun, Chief Musibau Babarinsa, Aare Baaroyin; Layi Labode, Chief Mrs Koleoso; Erelu Bobatolu, Seriki Iyaloja, Chief Mrs Modupeola Labode, Otun Iyaloja: Kemi Oloyede, Gbegbaaje Tejumade Bakre, Seriki Iyalaje; Bolanle Amusa to mention a few.
