Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has described marriage as a divine institution, designed to bring orderliness to the society.
Prince Abiodun stated this in Lagos, at the wedding reception of the son of the former Governor of the State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Olurotimi Daniel and his heartthrob, Nofisa Mahmud.
Abiodun While congratulating the couple, noted that, apart from birth and graduation, marriage was one of the ceremonies that bring joy to parents, urging them to love, tolerate one another and make God the foundation of their home, so as to enjoy a blissful family life.
The groom’s father, Otunba Daniel in his remark, said for the couple to have a successful home, they must always settle their differences amicably, as they are embarking on a life journey that requires perseverance and trust.
Earlier in his sermon at the solemnisation service, the Archbishop, Anglican Communion, Remo Diocese, Most Rev. Olusina Fape, stated that family was the smallest constituency of the society, which should be preserved, calling on the couple to make their home a place of prayer at all times.
He decried the high level of divorce in the society, which he attributed to intolerance, lack of love, financial issues, parental influence, among others, saying the home must be peaceful for there to be tranquility in the society, as divorce was not the plan of God for man.
