She had been the Otun Iyaloja of Egbaland since 2005, and before she bagged this title, she had been associating with a lot of market men and women because she had earlier been the Iyaloja of Adire, Kampala Market, since 2001. Also, she had been the leader of the Adire Group since 1994.

Her grandmother had made her familiar with the Adire business since her childhood. And when she finished schooling, and there was no immediate job, her grandmother convinced her that she wanted her to venture into the Adire business. To God be the Glory, young Kemi heeded her advice.
She started gradually. It grew amazingly and continued blossoming even when and after she got married, had children. The business was so successful to the extent that she had no problems sending all her children to school as well attending to other needs. Glory be to Almighty Allah, the Subuannah Wata Allah!
