MONARCH LEADS OTHERS TO SHOWER ENCOMIUM ON OGUN HEAD OF SERVICE

The Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Adewale Babatunde Ajayi has described the Head of Service, Alhaja Selimot Ottun, as the right choice for the State Civil/Public Service.

 Akarigbo made the remark, at a reception organised in her honour by the ‘Royal Set 1973-1978′ of Remo Secondary School Old Students’ Association, at Sagamu.

 The Monarch also advised Alhaja Ottun to ensure that she leaves lasting impression on whoever come across her as a great ambassador of the ‘Royal Set’ and Remoland.

On his part, the National President of the Association, Hon. Deola Sosanwo commended the 1973-1978 set for being a pillar of support for the school, requesting for more support towards its 75th anniversary and the hosting of 2021 AIONIAN games that had been zoned to Remo Secondary School.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Local Government Pensions, Mrs. Afolasade Kokumo said Alhaja Ottun is someone who is loved and cherished by the workforce as exemplified in the way joy engulfed the entire Service when appointed as the Head of Service, adding that she is a woman of virtue and impeccable character.

In their separate goodwill messages, the HoS colleagues, Mr. Yinka Awopeju and Mrs. Ariyike Komi described Alhaja Ottun as a well behaved and cultured person, saying her humility, diligence and good upbringing had earned her the position.

Other speakers at the reception which included Rtd. Col. Emmanuel Shoda, former Speaker and Commissioner in the State, Bashorun Muyiwa Oladipo, the President, Remo Indigenes in Ogun State Civil/Public Service, Mr. Olayinka Abdul and husband of the Head of Service, Alhaji Bashiru Ottun spoke glowingly about the good characters and deeds of the Head of Service and admonished her to continue to uphold the good work she is known for.

Responding, Alhaja Ottun, who is the President of the Association, said the ‘Royal Set’ whose members are doing well in their various fields of endeavours, is privileged to produce the present Akarigbo of Remoland and the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Environment and Waste Management, Mr. Ola Oresanya.

“It is a great honour to be here, I am overwhelmed. I thank God and everyone for this hosting. Our 73-78 set is great, we cannot achieve alone, let’s keep joining hands to do more. We are a formidable group and I pray to God to continue to make us greater and greater. I promise to do my best, continue to pray for me because the task is not an easy one” the number one Civil Servant said.
