Children and their parents have been enjoined to make good use of the learning opportunity put in place by the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration in Ogun State through the Digital Class, to keep them busy and refresh their memories during this pandemic period.
The Wife of the Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, who stated this while visiting homes of vulnerable children across the State, to commemorate this year’s children’s day celebration, noted that the covid-19 pandemic has hindered gathering of school children for proper celebration, urging parents to ensure their children participate in the digital classes on Ogun State Television (OGTV) from Monday through Friday.
Represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo, to present gifts to some of the vulnerable children in Ijebu- Ode area of the state, Mrs. Abiodun encouraged the children to be of good behaviour, face their studies and always be good ambassadors of the State wherever they find themselves.
She appreciated parents and teachers for doing a great job in shaping the children to be good citizens that would put the name of the State on the world map in the nearest future, imploring them not to rest on their oars to ensure that the children excel.
In their respective contributions, the Head teacher of Our Lady of Apostles primary school, Mr. Olubanjo Onasanya and his counterpart from Moslem primary school 1, Mrs. Peters Adesinmbo, as well as the ANCOPSS Chairman, Ijebu-Ode, Mr. Gbenga Oduselu, appreciated the gesture of the First Lady, which they noted was an indication that the present administration in the State was committed to the wellbeing of the people.
Expressing appreciation on behalf of the beneficiaries, Wasilat Alade of Moslem primary school 1 and Bamiduro Daniel of Our Lady of Apostles primary school, promised to always be good representatives of the State.
