The Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Mrs. Melutia Ogunremi has been given an Outstanding Leadership Award by the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), in recognition of her landmark achievements towards human development and various youth empowerment programmes.
While receiving the award in her office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Mrs. Ogunremi charged the Association, led by its National President, Comrade Olasunkanmi Ijaduoye, not to see themselves as future leaders alone but, partners in progress in the development of the country, adding that they should strive to leave good legacies for upcoming generations.
“I want to encourage you to leave good legacies behind, strive to be good leaders for future generations, leave lasting footprints for those you lead to follow and be diligent in your academics”, the Permanent Secretary urged.
Also speaking, the Director of Administration and Supplies, Mrs. Dunni Adetona, appreciated the Association for the honour bestowed on the Permanent Secretary, saying the award would spur her to do more.
Responding, Comrade Ijaduoye noted that, the award was given in recognition of her passionate professional capabilities, charismatic leadership acumen, outstanding contribution and selfless service to humanity, revealing that the body had organised various orientation programmes on entrepreneurship, as well as combating hooliganism and cultism on campus.
