BENUE – The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has urged states to domesticate the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Act (VAPP) to address sexual violence in various states of the country.




Director General of the agency, Julie Okah-Donli, gave the charge in Abuja at the weekend when the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) visited the agency.

Okah-Donli also disclosed that the agency has commenced the compilation of a sex offenders’ register following the incident that led to the death of Elizabeth Ochanya Ogbaje in Gboko, Benue State recently.
