NATIONAL ORIENTATION AGENCY DIRECTOR PLEADS FOR ALAKE’S COLLABORATION IN THE EDUCATION OF VOTERS ON PEACEFUL AND RIGHTFUL WAY OF VOTING

ABEOKUTA:The Ogun State Director of the National Orientation Agency, NOA, Mr Sola Babalola has solicited the cooperation and collaboration of the Alake and other Egba leaders in the Agency’s efforts to sensitize the people of the State how to have the maximum benefits from next month general elections.

Mr. Sola Babalola disclosed that the intention of NOA is to ensure that the people were sensitized to choose rightly.

Mr. Sola further said that there must be peaceful environment for election which only the Traditional Rulers were considered best to disseminate information to the people especially the youth, who should not allow themselves to be used as thugs.

The Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Gbadebo, should sensitize the public that they should follow the educational instructions of NOA to ensure they vote rightly, Babalola said.

The NOA wanted the Alake to be the vanguard to peaceful and credible elections.

He said anyone that buy or sell vote, was mortgaging his future of generations unborn.

NOA also would invite the Alake and Egba Traditional Rulers, to the 13 February Seminar to sensitize the people, few days to the elections, on how to vote rightly and counting of vote

The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, CFR said that the NOA’s activities had been commendable since its inception.

Alake said we can’t compare ourselves with the advanced world; Oba’s votes should be between God and themselves.

Oba Gbadebo expressed the hope that he and Egba Chiefs had been educating the Egba people in general about their rights and obligations in politics.

He reassured the NOA’s boss that they would continue to enjoy his and Egba people’s support.
