The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland,His Majesty,Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo has called on the Military Hierarchy in Military Installations in Abeokuta and Elsewhere in Ogun State to sustain the good relationship existing between them and the Indigenes.
The Alake of Egbaland made the call when receiving in Audience,the new Brigade -Commander of the 35 Artillery Brigade,Alamala,Brigadier Basil Adonkie at Ake Palace today (7/11/2016).
Oba Gbadebo said that Abeokuta had been a veritable home for Military Reconnaissance otherwise known as Recci,
The Egba Monarch said that he was happy to note that there had been no misunderstanding between Egbas and Military formations, ethe Nigerian Army, urging the new Brigade Commander Basil Adonkie, to keep up the trends and improve on it.
In his opening remarks,the new Brigade Commander, 35 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Basil Adonkie told the Alake that he decided to pay the first courtesy call to the Egba Monarch in line with the Nigerian Military Respect and Honor for Traditional Rulers who are the Custodians of Culture and Traditions.
General Basil Adonkie said that he had come to the Alake of Egbaland first to receive His Majesty’s Blessing. He added that he was aware that Abeokuta had always been a very good host to Military installations.
The Brigade Commander also disclosed that the rank and file of Military Men under his command would operate professional in Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole, with strict compliance with the Vision and Mission of the Chief of Army Staff,General T.Y Brutai, adding that the Nigerian Army was always ready to protect the Nation both internally and externally.
Brigadier General, Basie Adonkie was accompanied to the Ake Palace by Top Military Brass from 35 Artillery Brigade,Alamala,Abeokuta.
