The House of Representative has on Tuesday approved the sum of N30,000 as the new National Minimum Wage for all workers.
The approval followed the adoption of the report by the ad hoc committee set up on the New Minimum Wage Bill presented to the National Assembly by the President Muhammadu Buhari.
The lawmakers inserted a clause in the bill which makes it effective from the date it is asserted to by the President.
The Bill however, retained the original clause in which employers with less than 25 members are excluded.
The Bill will be sent to the Senate for further review.
