President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed grief over the death of Gambo Jimeta, the former Inspector General of Police.

The Former Inspector, Gambo Jimeta passed away on Thursday evening.

In an announcement by presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, Buhari expressed his condolences the family of the deceased, the government and people of Nigeria.

The President of Nigeria, Muhammad Buhari, described Jimeta as a man of great honour, courage, intellect and he is true statesman.
“Nigeria lost a great son” the President said this to appreciate Jimeta, who lived for the nation and served with all his strength.
Buhari prayed that Allah should bless Jimeta’s soul and give fortitude to the bereaved family, the government, and the people of Adamawa State
