Speaking on the 90th birthday and 10th Coronation Anniversary of Oba Akindele, the Alake noted with delight that Oba Akindele’s children, spanning 4 generations had to a large extent shown that they were well brought up, United and would make legacies of Oba Akindele enduring.
The Alake also said that Oba Akindele’s activities as an Egba Monarch was exemplary as a servant leader
The Egba Paramount Monarch disclosed that the Ijebu system was of having many Obas to galvanise development in identifyable areas to fast track development adding that, Oba Akindele had justified his installation as the Olu of Oke Odo, Ilupeju for personally involving himself in the physical and economical development of the area
He congratulated the celebrant for singlehandedly digging eight boreholes for residents of his town, covering Lafenwa to Rounder on Aiyetoro Road

The Alake also noted that former Governor General Raji Rasaki despite being a military administrator was able to identify patriotic and competent citizens in both Lagos and Ogun State especially in Egbaland to assist him on his assignment
The event was graced with a lot of Egba Dignitaries and Honourable personalities across the nation including the Balogun of Egbaland, the Aare Baaroyin of Egbaland and of Igbein, and the Onimoero of Egbaland to mention a few.
