The Ogun State government has commiserated with the family of Late Dr. Babatunde Odedeyi, of the State Health Insurance Agency (OGSHIA). Leading government delegation to the home of the late medical doctor at Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Ekundayo Ayinde expressed grief over the untimely death of Dr. Odedeyi, saying it came as a rude shock.
While presenting the token approved by Governor Dapo Abiodun for the upkeep of the late doctor’s wife and children, Dr. Ayinde assured that the State Government would follow up on the welfare of the family of the deceased.
“We sympathize with the family, particularly his wife and children. Dr Odedeyi’s death came as a rude shock to us, especially now that his wealth of experience is highly needed. We pray to God to grant him eternal rest and be with the wife and children”, he said.
On his part, the Executive Secretary, OGSHIA, Dr. Afolabi Dosunmu described Odedeyi as a diligent, promising and resourceful officer, whose demise would be felt by the entire agency.
Responding, the wife of the deceased, Mrs. Temilola Odedeyi, appreciated the government for standing by the family since the unfortunate incident, pleading for employment on compassionate ground into the State’s Civil Service.
Dr. Odedeyi passed on last week at the age of 38 years and was survived by parents, wife and children.
