ABEOKUTA – A House of Representaives aspirant on the platform of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ogun state, Prince Abiodun Akinboyede has berated the state government for ‘deliberate’ neglect of roads in the Ado/Odo-Ota.
Prince Akinboyede in a statement made available to journalists in Abeokuta on Monday, added that, governor Amosun APC led government’s infrastructural projects are lopsided and not in the interest of the generality of the state.
The Awori Prince noted that, Ota, being the second largest industrial hub in Nigeria with rapidly growing population has in the last seven years of APC government in the state, no human capital development to the region.
He said, “Ado-Odo/Otta federal constituency has over the years been unjustifiably neglected despite being Nigeria’s second largest industrial hub.
“APC government is a sham. You can imagine in the last seven years of Amosun government in Ogun state, no meaningful physical infrastructure in Ado-Odo ota and Yewa zone in general.
” With the huge presence of industries and its massive population, Ado-odo/Otta Federal Constituency has one of the worst road networks in Ogun State with over nonfunctional 100 link roads across the local governments.
“A proper representation is all it requires to have a performing government, hence the need for our people to vote for individuals who are capable and determined to serve selflessly,” he said.
Akinboyede who equally declared his intention to run for the Ado/Odo-Ota Federal Constituency, said he would legislate all-inclusive representation, ensure the revival of the failing industries, job creations and adequate infrastructures if elected as House of Representatives member.
The legal practitioner therefore urged the people of Yewa/Awori to support ADC for good governance, promising life abundance for the people.
He said “it is high time people with genuine desire to serve come into politics to right the wrongs of the past at all level of governance.”
