Ogun State, CAC Region has become independent, after many years of the Church being ruled by the Lagos State District.
The Pioneer Regional Superintendent, Essien Region, Pastor Isaac Olu Eiyebiokun disclosed this, during the courtesy call of the Ogun State/Benin Republic CAC, Essien Region’s delegates on the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland at the Ake Palace on Wednesday, 6th of April, 2022.
According to him, the newly established CAC, Essien Region was named after one of the late elder Stateman in the Christ Apostolic Church, Prophet Essien, who, through his impactful contributions to the Church, was recognized by the CAC National Headquarters and the Ogun State CAC Region was named after him.
He reiterated that the, Essien Region comprises Ogun State and Benin Republic
Pastor Eiyebiokun stated that, the Essien Region was established last year’s December, with the aide and assistance of the new CAC President, Pastor S.O Oladele, who played an active role in ensuring that Ogun State Region became Independent.
He further disclosed, that the CAC President and other top Executives would be present at the Essien Region Headquarters, CAC, Isale-Ake, Abeokuta, on the 23rd of April, 2022 to confer on them, the mantle of power to commence ministration.
In his address, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo noted that in 1937, Oba Ademola who was the Alake then, sent for Pastor Babalola to establish CAC in Abeokuta, adding that, Egba Nation was the one that brought Christianity and modern Civilization in Nigeria, and they would continue to uphold that standards
Oba Gbadebo therefore commended the Essien Region delegates, noting that, during their time Ogun State CAC District was no longer Under Lagos State Region anymore.
