The Ogun State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr Toyin Taiwo has called out to Private investors and organisations in the State to join forces with the State Government in building and realising its vision.
The Commissioner who was representing the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, at the Formal Launching of Egba Heritage Foundation, made this known, in an interview with the Newsflagship Correspondent at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library on Saturday, 26th of February, 2022.
Dr Taiwo reiterated that, Egba Heritage Foundation had done well in stimulating their initiative in Ogun State, adding that, it would be a challenge to other people in Nigeria and in diaspora, that they needed to come out and see what they could do towards the betterment of the people of Ogun State
He said that, the Foundation upheld historic and cultural value, noting that, as a State, that’s people oriented and an administration that’s passionate about the development of the State, aligned with the activities of the Foundation.
He noted that, all members of the Foundation had gone to other countries to see how things were being done over there, which they needed to come back home and replicate it.
The Commissioner disclosed that, the Foundation had been going to communities, to see their needs and what they could do to give succour.
He stated that, the Government could not do it alone, but they were trying all they could, whereby, they needed the support and collaboration of individuals and private organisations to drive the State’s vision and realise it with the Government.
Dr Taiwo also disclosed that, the Ogun State Governor had given an enabling environment that could make private organisations thrive their vision, noting, it was the reason, they were calling on to more private investors to come into the State.
The Commissioner added that, the vision of the State was to make sure, everything they were doing translated to the individual prosperity of the good people of the State.
