No fewer than 25 Permanent Secretaries in the Ogun State Civil Service have been trained on the effective use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), to aid e-governance plans of Governor Dapo Abiodun led administration.
Speaking at a training session on ICT for all the Permanent Secretaries, at the Ogun Tech Hub, along kobape Road Abeokuta, Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Communication Technology, Mr. Dayo Abiodun said government would ensure that members of the State Executive Council and Civil Servants acquire necessary skills on smart mail technology for effective communication.
He noted that the training was extended to the entire workforce in the State to avail them proper automation of documents and safe keep of all activities of government.
Earlier in his remark, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing, ESV Bola Orekoya, appreciated the State government, saying, the training would fast-track the bulk of work undertaking by Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government, for effective service delivery.
Also speaking, Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission, Dr. Kasali Olabimtan, said this was an advancement that would enable them perform their duties without delays.
