Mrs. Soyombo explained that, some of the innovations to be unveiled by the new administration would include, the provision of I-pad with lesson plan, books and other instructional materials to consolidate teaching and learning in schools.

According to her, “We need to put things right in our schools, and there are daily innovations in learning, so, there will be provision of books and other instructional materials to consolidate teaching in schools. Head-teachers and Principals must be ready to move round classes and supervise the teachers to achieve better results”.

She informed of plans to train serving and N-Power teachers on how to prepare good lesson plans and inculcate skills that would make teaching and learning conducive, saying Head-teachers should lead by example and encourage teachers to be more committed to their duties, with an assurance that payment of running cost would be revisited.

Responding on behalf of the other Associations, NUT Chairman, Comrade Titilope Adebanjo appreciated the Governor for his approach in addressing the challenges in the education system, promising that teachers in the State would support the government to achieve its set objectives in the sector.
