“We appreciate the fact that one of the biggest advantages we have is that we are able to provide services for neighbouring States, particularly, Lagos. A lot of people want to live in Ogun and work in Lagos and we promised that we are going to ensure its possibility, so that our people can move between Lagos and Ogun with relative case
“So for us, connectivity and mobility is very important. We are starting with roads that connect us with Lagos State and we have seen three of those critical roads”, he said.
The Governor hinted that the Department of Public Works would soon commence work on the roads, as the process of integrating the Department in the scheme of things had begun in earnest, calling for calm from residents.
On the spate of accidents on the Toll Gate on Ilo- Awela road, he stated that speed breakers would be erected on the roads to slow down speed, warning against indiscriminate parking along the road.
Governor Abiodun, therefore directed the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Kayode Ademolake, to include in the plan, the construction of a market, bus stops and speed breakers in the area, so that the road would be wide enough for motorists and reduce accidents on the road.
