The death of the Coordinator, Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), Engr. Samuel Onabanjo, who was also the Director, Rural Roads in the Ministry of Rural Development, has been described as a great loss to Ogun State Civil Service.
Commissioner in the Ministry, Engr. Taiwo Oludotun, made this submission when he led the management team on a condolence visit to the family of the deceased, saying, late Onabanjo was a diligent and dedicated Civil Servant, who has contributed immensely to the growth of the Ministry.
Engr. Oludotun revealed that he felt the handiwork of the great Engineer within the short period they worked together, and he would always be a reference point, noting that his passage has created a great vacuum that would be hard to fill.
Speaking earlier, the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mr. Lekan Lukan, also described the late engineer as a caring and hard-working fellow in the service, advising his family to brace up to the challenges ahead and prayed God to give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Appreciating the management team for its great support, wife of the deceased, Mrs. Adesola Onabanjo, said she was impressed by the Level of love the Ministry exhibited towards the family.
Born on 21st of October 1967, Engr. Samuel Adekoya Onabanjo answered the home call on Sunday 5th of April, 2020.
