The Ogun State Government says it will commence the second phase of the school-based deworming exercise for 2019 from Friday, November 15, 2019 to Sunday, November 24, 2019.
A release signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Adesanya Ayinde, indicated that the exercise would hold in Abeokuta North, Abeokuta South, Odeda, Ifo, Yewa North, Yewa South, Odogbolu, Sagamu, Ijebu North and Ogun Waterside Local Government Areas of the State.
According to the release, parents and guardians are to ensure that their children are well-fed during the period and give consent to school authorities for their wards to be dewormed.

It further implored school proprietors, Non-Governmental Organizations, Community-Based Organizations, religious, traditional, community and market leaders to sensitize residents of the State on the benefits of deworming their children, adding that the medicines are free, safe, beneficial to their wellbeing, will improve their ability to assimilate and perform better in school.
