Prospective youth entrepreneurs in the country have been charged to develop the right attitude towards starting a business venture in order to become successful in life.
Secretary to Ogun State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, gave the charge at a leadership class, organised by the Nehemiah Leadership Institute, for young entrepreneurs, held at the Team Nehemiah Traffic Squad Secretariat, RCCG Redemption Campground, saying self improvement was key in attaining success in life.
Mr. Talabi, who was the lead speaker on the topic, “Developing Entrepreneurial Mindset”, said that it was imperative for anyone venturing into any enterprise to possess a mindset towards achieving the desired goal, noting that no entrepreneur has hundred percent success in business.
“In order to be a successful entrepreneur, you need to develop the mindset of achieving success in business. You should also know that entrepreneurship does not guarantee success because no one was born as an entrepreneur”, he stated.
According to Mr.Talabi, it was important for an entrepreneur to be flexible and believe in attaining success in business, noting that there was need to make total sacrifice, be disciplined, dedicated, as well as thirst for acquiring knowledge to develop business ideas.
While recounting his life experience as an investment banker in the 90’s, he added that, there was need to have a mentor with substance that could spur anyone, as well as widen his horizon to attain success in business.
Earlier, Provost of the Institute, Susan Chisom, explained that the essence of the leadership class was to build men and women of integrity, who can remain steadfast of life’s challenges.
