As part of efforts to boost trading activities, the Ogun State government says it will consider upgrading the Oba Lipede Ultra-Modern Market, Kuto, Abeokuta, and other markets, to become the pride of the State.

The Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mrs. Kikelomo Longe made this known during a visit to Oba Lipede Ultra-Modern Market, Kuto and the June 12 Market, Panseke in Abeokuta.

Mrs. Longe assured that government would explore ways of improving infrastructure, boost security of lives and property, as well as assist in addressing the power challenge, in order to make the market a model, calling on the traders to synergise with government to improve the market.

She charged the traders to maintain peaceful coexistence, saying government would not compromise the safety of its citizens, just as the present administration would continue to uphold fairness, equity and justice for all.
